Cologne vs Werder Bremen Preview
Cologne coach Zvonimir Soldo believes his side can be the one to end Werder Bremen's run of 22 games unbeaten.
The Croat is confident that his side, currently fighting relegation, can find the key to unlock Bremen's defence.
"Bremen have not lost for 22 games, but every streak comes to an end at some stage and, with engagement and discipline, we will get our chances," he said.
"We have had a good long week and the atmosphere has been good and we are looking forward to this game.
"Every game is a key game and we can beat Bremen only if we fight.
"We need to make the Mungersdorfer Stadion a fortress again, no matter who our opponents are."
Soldo was able to breathe a sigh of relief yesterday when Kevin Pezzoni returned to the training field after recovering from an ankle injury.
He is an option for tomorrow's game while Lukas Podolski is also back after suspension.
Bremen arrive three days after booking their place in the last 32 of the Europa League with a 4-1 win over Nacional which extended their unbeaten streak to 22 matches, even if coach Thomas Schaaf rested seven regular members of his squad.
The victory has left him with a selection headache this weekend, not knowing who of the seven replacements to leave out.
Markus Rosenberg's two goals in midweek mean he could keep Aaron Hunt on the sidelines.
"Some of my players were able to prove themselves positively while others showed that they still need a bit more match practice," said Schaaf, who is looking for the right balance to ensure his side's 23rd consecutive game without defeat.
