Hannover 0-0 Bayer Leverkusen
Hannover piled the pressure on Bayer Leverkusen but the Bundesliga leaders held on to share a draw.
Leverkusen remained top of the table with 31 points despite collecting just two wins in their last seven games.
Hannover secured their first point since the death of goalkeeper and captain Robert Enke to improve to 17 points in 12th place - five points clear of the relegation zone.
Leverkusen goalkeeper Rene Adler had to come out and snatch the ball from Didier Ya Konen in a dangerous attack just two minutes in as Hannover looked to inflict the leaders' first loss of the season.
Adler again was superb four minutes later batting Arnold Jan Bruggink's looping shot from 25 yards over his crossbar.
Leverkusen began taking the initiative but Eren Derdiyok shot wide from nine yards after 16 minutes.
And the visitors nearly took the lead six minutes before the break as Tranquillo Barnetta crossed into the box where Toni Kroos struck a low shot which goalkeeper Florian Fromlowitz cleared with his foot.
The hosts remained determined in attack after the break.
Leverkusen defenders Lukas Sinkiewicz and Sami Hyypia could not clear away a ball, which landed at the feet of Jiri Stajner who shot just inches wide of the right upright after 51 minutes.
Hannover had two superb chances around the hour mark as Hyypia combined with Adler to clear Stajner's shot and Adler then saved spectacularly Stajner's next dangerous ball.
The guests had one more push to offer five minutes later as Stefan Kiessling struck cleanly Barnetta's corner but Konstantin Rausch cleared off the line as the contest ended in a stalemate.
