Freiburg 0-0 Cologne
Lukas Podolski struck the woodwork twice but could not score as Cologne played to a goalless draw at Freiburg.
Cologne have collected three draws and a victory in their last five games, but Zvonimir Soldo's team has scored just two goals in their last 10 contests.
Freiburg, meanwhile, have two wins and two draws in their last five games and have the worst home record in the league.
Podolski has not scored in his last 10 Bundesliga games since September 13.
The Germany striker was close after 12 minutes, looping the ball over Freiburg goalkeeper Simon Pouplin but hitting only the crossbar.
Podolski again struck the woodwork on the half-hour mark with a left-foot blast from 22 yards which Pouplin barely got a finger on.
Pouplin stopped another superb attempt by Podolski four minutes later and Cologne goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon needed to make great save on Mohamadou Idrissou's short distance shot in the 45th minute to keep it scoreless at the break.
Other than Podolski there was little attack in this encounter.
Freiburg's only other chance came with 16 minutes to play as Heiko Butscher had space but headed Ivica Banovic's corner over the crossbar.
