Bayern winger Arjen Robben has warned Franck Ribery against joining Real Madrid as he will be "just one of many" stars.

Ribery is one of most sought-after stars in world football and has been hotly tipped to join Real Madrid as well as Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.

With Bayern failing to impose themselves in the Bundesliga, the German giants could face a fight to hold on to the ambitious Ribery who has reportedly grown weary of life in Germany.

The Frenchman's contract expires in 2011 and Bayern could be tempted to cash in on the winger or risk losing him for free a year later.

But Ribery's teammate Robben feels the Frenchman should stay in Germany.

The Dutch winger told German daily Der Bild, "I very much hope he stays here. At Bayern he is a big star, at Real he will be just one of many. In any case, the differences between Madrid and Munich are not so great. Bayern is also an absolutely top European club."
