Ribery comes through practice match

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery reported no ill effects after playing an hour in a practice match.

The 26-year-old France international, who has been sidelined for around four months with a knee injury, was upbeat after his run-out in a 2-0 win against third division leaders Ingolstadt.

"It was a good test for me," he told the club's official website.

"There's been no reaction from the knee, which is the really important thing,"

Ribery added that he hoped to play "at least half" of Saturday's game against Mainz, but he was not sure if he would be ready to start.

"I'm working hard towards exactly that, but I'm not 100% fit yet," he said.

"I need the competitive practice now. Playing has done me good."
