Hannover vs Frankfurt Preview
Hannover go into Saturday's Bundesliga fixture with Eintracht Frankfurt with renewed confidence.
Hannover picked p their first victory since October last weekend.
A 2-1 win in Freiburg lifted a huge weight from a side who had not managed to win a game since the suicide of their goalkeeper Robert Enke and coach Mirko Slomka now wants to see his team put a run of victories together.
"We want to latch onto that success," he said before warning that "nothing has been achieved yet, only we have three more points on the board".
Slomka has appealed to the fans to show up en masse and spur the team on to their first home win since beating Stuttgart 1-0 on October 24.
"The support has been fantastic recently and the collaboration between the fans and the team has worked excellently," he said.
Hannover are likely to meet a wounded Frankfurt after their 4-1 defeat at home to Schalke last weekend practically ended their hopes of qualifying for Europe next season.
"I am still disappointed with how passive we played in the first half and I expect a clear reaction from my team in Hannover," said their coach Michael Skibbe.
"If you want to win in the Bundesliga, you have got to be fully committed for 90 minutes."
Christoph Spycher and Patrick Ochs both had a rest day in training this week, but Skibbe said they were left out for precautionary reasons and that both will be fit to face Hannover.
Maik Franz is also back in the squad and could replace Sebastian Jung at full-back.
Slomka has a slight doubt over Altin Lala, otherwise he can name an unchanged side this weekend.
