Badstuber optimistic of Wolfsburg win
Bayern Munich marker Holger Badstuber has expressed confidence that the Bavarian giants can get back to winning ways in Saturday’s Bundesliga clash against Wolfsburg.
Bayern were stunned 3-1 by high-fliers Borussia Monchenglandbach last week and Badstuber has urged his colleagues to redeem themselves against their counterparts at the Allianz Arena.
"We've trained really well this week. I'm certain we've taken a good step forward. I'm very optimistic about the Wolfsburg match," Badstuber said on the official Bayern website.
"Jupp Heynckes has laid special emphasis on defending as a team this week, because we were sloppy in the last match."
"We showed total unity and conviction as a team earlier this season, and everyone helped out everyone else, none of us were too far away from our team-mates. We know that was what made us strong, and we aim to demonstrate that again on Saturday."
Bayern are currently at the summit of the Bundesliga standings on 37 points, although Borussia Dortmund and Schalke are level on points with the former.
