Champions League Group Stage draw
Premier League clubs dominate UEFA's seeding for Thursday's Champions League group stage draw in Monaco.
Holders Manchester United are seeded one, Chelsea, last season's runners-up in Moscow, have been seeded two, while five-time winners Liverpool - fresh from their narrow 1-0 aggregate win over Standard Liege on Wednesday - are three.
Arsene Wenger's Arsenal, who thumped FC Twente 6-0 on aggregate during the qualifiers, are seeded five.
A total of 16 teams were granted automatic entry to the group stage, while a further 16 came through the qualifying process.
The 32 teams will be split into four seeding pots, with one from each being placed in the eight qualifying groups during the draw which is scheduled to begin at minight on Thursday (Hong Kong time).
England's quartet of Champions League aspirants are joined in the pot one by Spain's Barcelona, Lyon from France, Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
Notable teams in other seeding pots include Bayern Munich, Roam and Juventus in pot two, Marseille, Zenit St Petersburg and Marseille in three, as well as Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid in four.
Four clubs are making their Champions League debut - UEFA Cup holders Zenit, CFR 1907 Cluj from Romania, Belarussian outfit FC BATE Borisov and Cypriot side Anorthosis.
In all, 17 nations will compete for the Champions League final with the final scheduled for Rome on May 27 next year.
