Sneijder omitted from Inter squad
Jose Mourinho has left Wesley Sneijder out of the Inter Milan squad that takes on Rubin Kazan in Russia in midweek.
Sneijder injured his thigh in a Serie A game against Napoli and will remain in Milan, along with the injured Thiago Motta and David Suazo.
Dejan Stankovic, who was left out of the match against Sampdoria over the weekend, may take over the Dutchman in the middle of the park, with Esteban Cambiasso , Javier Zanetti and Sulley Muntari rounding out the Nerazzurri's midfield.
It is highly doubtful that the 'trident' attack of Mario Balotelli, Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o will be used in the upcoming fixture, especially after it failed to produce the desired outcome in the 1-0 loss to Sampdoria.
Balotelli performance against Sampdoria was the best among the three hitmen, and he may start against Rubin, partnering either Milito or Eto'o.
