Guardiola: We have to work for wins

Pep Guardiola has warned Barcelona to avoid becoming complacent following their 2-0 win over Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday.

Speaking to AS, the Barca boss said: "We are the champions of the competition, but we still have to work for our victories.

"Sometimes it's assumed that we will win, but it's not so easy. All the champions have gone out in the early stages in recent years, so we must beware."

The Catalan giants found themselves at the receiving end of attacking football as Kiev put on early pressure on the home side.

Lionel Messi helped settle the Blaugrana after slotting home a goal, and Pedro's second-half strike sealed the victory for Barca.

Guardiola, however, was still concerned over his side's performance.

"I understand that sometimes things fail, on Tuesday it was a matter of tactics.

"We were getting ahead of the ball, but in the second half we corrected it," Guardiola explained.
