Chelsea

Cech: 6
Made a great save after Savvas Poursaitidies's shot was deflected off John Terry.

Ivanovic: 5
Caught out a few times and made several cynical fouls. Rightly carded.

Carvalho: 6
Was hardly troubled by a hesitant APOEL attack.

Terry: 6
Not as commanding as he is expected to be. Ancelotti will be worried.

Ashley Cole: 7
Did his bit in defence as well as in attack. Showed no signs of his injury suffered in the game against Wigan last weekend.

Belletti: 7
Made several incisive runs, one of which resulted in a cross to Nic Anelka who scored. Most positive player on the pitch.

Essien: 7
Did all the donkey work without Jon Obi Mikel.

Lampard: 6
Missed several chances to score from open play and looked off the pace again. Probably need a rest.

Kalou: 6
Once again proved he plays better coming on as a substitute.

Anelka: 6
Almost disappeared after scoring the winning goal. Almost feel like he wasn't interested in the game after that.

Malouda: 6
Had several half-chances to extend Chelsea's lead.

Subs

Deco: 6

Joe Cole: 6
