Louis van Gaal is prepared for the worst news possible as Arjen Robben sustained an injury in Bayern Munich’s 0-0 draw against Juventus.

"I worry that I will be unable to use Robben for a long period," said van Gaal to NOS television after the match.

"Players can usually feel how severe their injury is. I asked Arjen, and he said, 'This feels bad.'"

Robben has been labeled as an injury-prone player since his time with Chelsea, and while he was relatively healthy during his time with Real Madrid, the winger was known to have hung around the treatment room on most day of the week.

Fans of the Bavarians will be hoping that the Dutchman will make his return sooner rather than later, as he has scored twice so far in the new football season.
