Ferrara satisfied with Bayern draw

Ciro Ferrara has admitted that he is satisfied with the 0-0 stalemate against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The draw leaves the Bianconeri in third place in the Group A standings after Bordeaux defeated Maccabi Haifa at home.

Bayern, to their credit, kept the ball well in their game with the Old Lady, creating the bulk of chances but were not able to score despite long periods of pressure on Gianluigi Buffon's goal.

Ferrara was relieved with the draw, but insisted that his side must come out firing on all cylinders in three weeks' time in their match against Maccabi.

"Yes, I am satisfied above all because of how we played in the second half. They created danger in the first," Ferrara told Sky Sport Italia.

"We were not good at making the team go forward and we were under pressure from them.

"We didn't risk much in the second, but we tried to win and we came close to doing so.

"The Group standings? We are chasing, but there is still plenty to play for. We have to take advantage of our next game against Maccabi."
