Pep: Barca must conquer the weather
Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola wants his team to concentrate on their game and forget about the weather conditions at Rubin Kazan.
According to skysports.com, Barcelona are expected to face freezing temperatures in their Champions League game against Rubin in Russia.
Minus seven Celsius is the weather forecast and it's a far cry from the warm climate that Barcelona's players are accustomed to in Spain.
Rubin shocked Barcelona in the last round at the Nou Camp and are aiming to dislodge them from top spot in Group F.
Faced with this challenge, Guardiola has warned his players to be adaptable to all kinds of conditions to become the first side to retain the Champions League title.
"It's going to be cold and that's the way it is, we can't afford to think about it a second longer," Guardiola said in Tuesday's pre-match press conference.
"If the team wants to achieve great things this year it has to be able to cope with cold places and muddy pitches."
