Barcelona hopeful about duo's fitness

Barcelona have not ruled out Lionel Messi or Zlatan Ibrahimovic being available for Tuesday's match with Inter Milan.

Ibrahimovic missed last night's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao with a hamstring injury and Messi limped off midway through the second half at San Mames with a thigh problem.

The pair underwent tests this morning and will be monitored in the lead up to the game.

Yaya Toure is "almost certain" to miss out according to the Barcelona medical team after contracting swine flu last week.

Rafael Marquez has also shown symptoms and should find out later today if he too has the virus.

Barca face two huge matches this week. In the Champions League they are third in Group F and if they lose to Inter and Rubin Kazan beat Dynamo Kiev, the defence of their European title will be over.

And next weekend Pep Guardiola's treble winners host bitter rivals Real Madrid in a top-of-the-table clash at the Nou Camp.
