Milito: Messi is simply the best
Diego Milito is certain that Barcelona will miss the services of Lionel Messi against Inter Milan as he claims that his fellow Argentinean is the best in the world.
Messi looks set to be sidelined in Barca's clash against Inter on Tuesday at the Nou Camp, after he sustained an injury in La Blaugrana's stalemate against Athletic Club over the weekend.
"Without a doubt Messi is the best, most decisive player in the world," the former Real Zaragoza striker told uefa.com.
"Leo can win a game on his own at any moment because he's extraordinary. Playing with him every weekend must be a joy.
"I know because I've had the pleasure of training and playing with him for our country. I know him very well and know exactly what he's capable of."
However, Milito did add that Barcelona is the perfect environment to help Messi recover his top form.
"'Leo' has had to complete the transition from boy to man very quickly, and so much has happened to him already - particularly bad injuries," he continued.
"At Barca they protect him very intelligently but Leo has also overcome his difficulties in a very mature way."
