
Juventus suffer Buffon blow
Juventus may be without both Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini for their crucial Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.
Buffon has been plagued with a knee injury for two months and has postponed surgery in order to play for the club.
Now according to footballitalia.net, he has suffered a setback related to his knee injury, which has been affecting him for the past two months.
The Italian goalkeeper had told reporters that he was going to undergo surgery after the Inter game but Juve's backroom staff is looking to prolong it as long as possible.
Whereas for Chellini, the defender is definitely out and will need at least 20 days before his return to action due to a muscular problem.
"It is a pity to lose him at this stage," revealed Ferrara. "Giorgio was in great form and we needed him. However, Nicola Legrottaglie can cover for him.
"Legrottaglie was going to play this game anyway and I am confident he will do well."
