The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland, and was followed by the draw for the UEFA Europa League rounds of 32 and 16.

Fans can expect mouthwatering clashes across Europe with teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United in the Group Winners pot all facing the possibility of being drawn against big clubs like Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and AC Milan.

There are two important factors to take note of as teams from the same country cannot be drawn against each other while teams that met in the group stages will also not be drawn to face each other.

Group winners will be drawn against group runners-up. The group runners-up will play the first leg at home.

The first legs will take place on February 16, 17, 23 & 24, with the second legs on March 9, 10, 16 & 17.
