
David Beckham's United years
David Beckham is set to return to Old Trafford for one more match after AC Milan were drawn against the Red Devils in the Champions League.
We look at the highs and lows of 'Golden Balls'' Man United career:
HIGH - Helps Manchester United win the double in 1995/96, collecting Premier League winners' medal and FA Cup winners' medal.
HIGH - Handed the Red Devils' number 10 shirt vacated by Mark Hughes.
HIGH - Scores stunning goal on opening day of the 1996/97 season at Wimbledon, lobbing goalkeeper Neil Sullivan from the halfway line. Helps the team to a second consecutive league title.
HIGH - Collects another championship winners' medal in May 1997. Later takes over as the club's number seven following Eric Cantona's retirement.
HIGH - Helps his club complete the FA Cup, Premier League title and Champions League treble in 1999 after United stage a remarkable late recovery to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in Barcelona.
LOW - Left out of Manchester United team for the Premier League match against Leeds in February after reporting late for training because his son Brooklyn was ill.
HIGH - Collects his fourth championship winner's medal as United win the title by a record 18 points in May 2000.
HIGH - Claims fifth Premier League title with Manchester United in May 2001.
LOW - Breaks his metatarsal in Champions League match against Deportivo La Coruna, forcing him to miss the title run-in where United were edged out by Arsenal.
LOW - In February 2003, Beckham suffers a gash above his eye amid reports the injury was caused by a boot kicked by boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
LOW - Left out of the starting line-up for the crucial Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash with Real Madrid. He comes on as a second-half substitute and scores twice, but the damage has already been done and United lose 6-5 on aggregate.
HIGH - United lift 2002/03 Premier League trophy at Everton, Beckham sixth with the club.
LOW - United accept bid from Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta on June 10, five days before election.
LOW - United announce they have accepted a £25million bid from Real Madrid and Beckham eventually leaves for the Bernabeu.
