AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf is not having any sleepless nights over Wayne Rooney's form for Manchester United.

Milan and Manchester United meet at the San Siro in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 on February 16.

The Rossoneri are in the midst of a mini-slump since their loss to Inter Milan on the last day of January. They have drawn both games after that match - at home to Livorno and away to Bologna, and have fallen 10 points behind their bitter rivals.

They are past masters in European competitions though, and Seedorf expressed confidence in his side's ability to lift their game once again when they play United, Rooney or no Rooney.

"Rooney is in an extraordinary period of form, and we are expecting a great game," he told Milannews.it.

"But in the last few years we have always been able to go home with something more than them."
