Eto'o hails Sneijder impact
Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o has lauded midfielder Wesley Sneijder for his performance against Chelsea.
Eto'o scored the winning goal for the Nerazzuri, which saw them move into the quarter-finals for the first time in four years.
However, the Cameroon international was unwilling to hog the headlines.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match Eto'o said: "I don't think it was due to my goal, because a player on his own cannot make a difference."
"It was a team effort, and we were able to work together to do so.
"The important thing for us is to continue to play like this," declared the striker.
Speaking of his own position on the pitch, he revealed: "Moruinho had spoken to me over the past few days, and told me to play more along the wings. It was not a problem for me, because I am available to play anywhere for the team."
Despite stressing the team effort, Eto'o singled out Eneijder as one of the main catalysts of Inter's victory.
"What I will say is that [Wesley] Sneijder was exceptional this evening, as he set up two opportunities for me to score. The first, I was unable to beat the goalkeeper one-on-one, but the second time, I could not miss," said the gleeful forward.
