"Chelsea won't take Zilina lightly"

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has promised the Blues will not underestimate Slovakian minnows MSK Zilina on Wednesday.

The Barclays Premier League champions, aiming to finally win Europe's top club competition, have been drawn against Marseille, Spartak Moscow and Zilina in Group F.

It appears to be a group holding little fear for Carlo Ancelotti's side but the Czech Republic international insists they will not be taking Wednesday's clash lightly.

"Zilina had to go through qualification and the fact they have made it into the group stages shows their quality," said Cech.

"Underestimating any team in the Champions League can only damage you.

"Matches against Zilina will certainly have a special atmosphere. Then we have Marseille, who are a traditional participant in the European cups, with a number of achievements too. And then there is Spartak Moscow.

"I think all the teams are playable. We don't have to do any crazy travels so we may be satisfied."

Chelsea's early-season form has been excellent with 14 goals scored in their opening three games and none conceded to sit top of the table.

Cech admits even he was taken aback by such a fantastic start.

He added: "We could expect to pick up nine points with the relatively easy draw, yes.

"But the fact we scored 14 goals and kept a clean sheet in each game was hardly expected by anyone.

"At the moment I am most satisfied with our winning streak and with the fact we have been doing well as a team."

Chelsea will be without striker Didier Drogba for their opening two games in Group F.

He will serve a two-match suspension from European competition as a result of being sent off in Chelsea's Champions League defeat to Inter Milan last season.

The Ivory Coast forward was dismissed for stamping on Thiago Motta late on in the second leg of their last-16 tie, which Chelsea went on to lose 3-1 on aggregate.

Drogba's international strike partner Salomon Kalou is almost certain to deputise for him on Wednesday and in the home game against Marseille towards the end of the month.

Ancelotti is hoping to have England midfielder Frank Lampard back in action for the midweek trip to Slovakia following hernia surgery.
