Steve McClaren's FC Twente face a nightmare draw against Arsenal in the Champions League third qualifying round.

McClaren, who just joined the Dutch outfit in the summer, has been given an almighty task of guiding his new charges to an improbable victory against the Gunners.

Liverpool, fresh from parading their new striker in Robbie Keane, will play last season's Belgian champions Standard Liege either on August 12 and 13, with the return legs on August 26 and 27.

The tie of the round will see German side Schalke 04 pit their wits against La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
