UAE 2009 Club World Cup Venues

Two majestic stadiums will play host to the prestigious FIFA Club World Cup 2009 in the coming week.

Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium

With close proximity to the main city area of Abu Dhabi, the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium will be the second venue for the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup.

Home to Al Jazira Sports & Cultural Club, Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium is used for both cricket and football.

Its recent expansion, which added a second tier, brings the overall capacity to just over 42,000.

Zayed Sport City Stadium

Alternatively known as Jeque Zayed Stadium, the Zayed Sport City Stadium will be one of two venues for the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup.

Opened in 1980, the multi-purpose facility is located in south-east Abu Dhabi.

The stadium underwent renovation ahead of the tournament and has a capacity of approximately 50,000.
