"Spain are not kings of the world!"
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has cautioned his side to stay modest despite their World Cup success.
Spain currently hold the two major trophies in world football - the World Cup and the European Championship. La Furia Roja are widely seen as the best team of their generation, but del Boeque sees no reason for arrogance.
Speaking at a press conference in Buenos Aires, where Spain are scheduled to meet Argentina on Tuesday night, the manager said: "The worst that can happen to this group is to believe that we are the kings of the world. After winning the World Cup, our goal is to prepare for the next tournament.
"We're just players and a coach except that we are the world champions. We have a great responsibility to move forward.
"I think our success is due to a solid base rather than a good generation. We have not changed at all since the World Cup. We won the World Cup from technical and human effort."
Speaking about the upcoming match against Argentina, del Bosque commented:"Argentina's game has changed since the World Cup. I saw the game they played against Ireland and they had more possession in midfield and their players made changes in acceleration.
"Argentina are at our level and have the same game organisation and talent. We're not so far from each other."
Earlier, Argentina's Esteban Cambiasso had spoken of the team's desire to copy and master the Spanish way of playing football.
