Manchester United have included both Nemanja Vidic and Darren Fletcher in their 38-man Europa League squad even though both players have been ruled out for the season.

Vidic ruptured cruciate ligaments when United's Champions League campaign ended following defeat to Basle in December.

Fletcher, meanwhile, has not played since the November 22 draw with Benfica at Old Trafford and is now taking an extended break from the game in order to recover from a chronic bowel condition.
