Accrington vs Fulham
Accrington welcome back Luke Joyce from suspension but winger Chris Turner was only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench against Gillingham following an ankle injury. He will go head-to-head with Jimmy Ryan for a place in boss John Coleman's starting XI.
Fulham could welcome back midfielder Simon Davies from a foot injury, but striker Bobby Zamora will not be risked as he closes in on a comeback from his shoulder problem. Clint Dempsey (knee), Paul Konchesky (ankle), John Pantsil (knee) and Diomansy Kamara (knee) are all still sidelined.
Top scorers (all competitions): Michael Symes (Accrington) 13; Bobby Zamora (Fulham) 11
Referee: Stuart Attwell (Warwickshire).
Aston Villa vs Brighton
Villa boss Martin O'Neill is set to make wholesale changes with striker Emile Heskey (foot), central defender Richard Dunne (hamstring) and skipper Stiliyan Petrov (Achilles) doubtful after suffering injuries in the Carling Cup semi-final win over Blackburn. Striker John Carew and midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker are already on the injury list and are still ruled out.
Marcos Painter will be missing from the Brighton side as the on-loan Swansea defender is cup-tied so Jim McNulty is poised to return at left-back.
Top scorers (all competitions): Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa) 10; Nicky Forster (Brighton) 14
Referee: Anthony Taylor (Cheshire).
Bolton vs Sheff United
Bolton boss Owen Coyle is missing Mark Davies after the midfielder suffered ankle ligament damage in Wednesday's Premier League loss at Arsenal.
United will be without defender Matt Kilgallon after he completed a move to Sunderland. New signing Mark Yeates, the former Middlesbrough winger, is cup-tied but strikers Darius Henderson, Jamie Ward and Henri Camara are all pushing for starts.
Top scorers (all competitions): Ivan Klasnic (Bolton) 10; Darius Henderson (Sheff Utd) 10
Referee: Andre Marriner (W Midlands).
Cardiff vs Leicester
Gavin Rae is facing a race against time to prove his fitness for Cardiff. However Dave Jones has plenty of other concerns in Aaron Wildig (back) and Solomon Taiwo (illness), who is the latest player to be struck down by the virus that has ravaged the club for the last week or so.
Leicester defender Bruno Berner is still to recover from the calf injury which forced him off during the win over Sheffield Wednesday on December 12, so on-loan Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern is likely to continue at left-back.
Top scorers (all competitions): Peter Whittingham (Cardiff) 16; Matt Fryatt (Leicester) 12
Referee: Phil Crossley (Kent).
Derby vs Doncaster
Derby will be without on-loan striker DJ Campbell, who does not have permission from parent club Leicester to play in the competition. Rob Hulse, Chris Porter and Kris Commons are all vying to fill the void.
Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is not expected to make any changes from the side that beat Brentford in midweek, with captain Brian Stock set to continue his return from injury.
Top scorers (all competitions): Rob Hulse (Derby) 6; Billy Sharp (Doncaster) 11
Referee: Colin Webster (Tyne & Wear).
Everton vs Birmingham
Midfielder Leon Osman returns for Everton after a hamstring problem, while Jack Rodwell and Dan Gosling (both hamstring) are likely to return for next week's league visit of Sunderland. Mikel Arteta and Victor Anichebe, who both sustained serious knee injuries last season, are almost ready for their comebacks.
Birmingham newcomer Michel could finally make his debut following his £3million move from Sporting Gijon, while full-back David Murphy has returned to training from a fractured kneecap.
Top scorers (all competitions): Landon Donovan & Louis Saha (Everton) 13; Lee Bowyer (Birmingham) 6
Referee: Howard Webb (S Yorkshire).
Notts County vs Wigan
Notts County caretaker boss Dave Kevan has no fresh injury or suspension worries to contend with, so cup-tied striker Sean Canham will be the only absentee from the squad.
Wigan captain Mario Melchiot will wear a mask to cover a broken nose. Paul Scharner could also retain his place in the team despite suffering a swollen ankle and knee against Wolves last weekend. Hendry Thomas is suspended.
Top scorers (all competitions): Lee Hughes (Notts County) 19; Hugo Rodallega (Wigan) 7
Referee: Mark Clattenburg (Tyne & Wear).
Portsmouth vs Sunderland

Steve Finnan (groin) and Younes Kaboul (infected toe) both return but Tommy Smith (groin) and Richard Hughes are sidelined with injuries. African Nations Cup quartet Kanu, Nadir Belhadj, Hassan Yebda and Aruna Dindane remain absent.
Sunderland, plagued by injuries and suspensions recently, have defender Michael Turner back from a ban. Goalkeeper Craig Gordon, out with a broken arm since November, starts and Kieran Richardson (calf) and Lee Cattermole and Andy Reid (both hamstring) are fit. John Mensah (hamstring) just misses out and full-back George McCartney has been sidelined by a virus but only Anton Ferdinand (ankle) and Nyron Nosworthy (knee) otherwise remain on the casualty list. Matthew Kilgallon is ineligible.
Top scorers (all competitions): Frederic Piquionne (Portsmouth) 6; Darren Bent (Sunderland) 14

Preston boss Darren Ferguson will again be without Paul Parry and Barry Nicholson, however, defender Youl Mawene has been making steady progress after suffering knee ligament damage during the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle in November.
Chelsea will be without left-back Ashley Cole, who has an ankle problem, so Russia international Yuri Zhirkov is set to deputise. Hilario is likely to continue in goal. Michael Essien has been ruled out for up to six weeks following the knee injury he sustained on duty with Ghana in the African Nations Cup.
Top scorers (all competitions): Chris Brown (Preston) 9; Didier Drogba (Chelsea) 19
Referee: Mike Dean (Wirral).
Reading vs Burnley
Reading are hopeful of having Gylfi Sigurdsson available after the Icelandic midfielder - who scored a last-minute penalty at Anfield in the third-round replay win at Liverpool - missed the defeat at Nottingham Forest last weekend with a foot injury.
Burnley boss Brian Laws has been boosted by the return to fitness of Jay Rodriguez, Chris McCann and Martin Paterson. Steven Fletcher should feature despite an ankle knock and Clarke Carlisle has returned to training after overcoming a side strain.
Top scorers (all competitions): Gylfi Sigurdsson (Reading) 8; Steven Fletcher (Burnley) 9
Referee: Mike Jones (Cheshire).
Southampton vs Ipswich
Saints midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is suspended after his sending off against MK Dons. Recent signings Dan Seaborne and Jon Otsemobor are cup-tied and fellow defenders Rahdi Jaidi (eye) and Graeme Murty (ankle) are still sidelined.
Ipswich manager Roy Keane will have to choose between Pablo Counago, who came off the bench to score a 97th-minute winner against Coventry last weekend, and on-loan Crystal Palace man Stern John in attack.
Top scorers (all competitions): Richard Lambert (Southampton) 22; Jonathan Stead & Jonathan Walters (Ipswich) 6
Referee: Andy Hall (W Midlands).

Newcastle striker Peter Lovenkrands is on compassionate leave following the death of his father, while new signing Danny Simpson is a doubt due to an ankle injury.
Top scorers (all competitions): Graham Dorrans (West Brom) 8; Kevin Nolan (Newcastle) 11
Referee: James Linnington (Isle of Wight).

Crystal Palace will be without cup-tied left-back Lee Hills while in-demand teenage striker Victor Moses should also be in their squad.
Top scorers (all competitions): Kevin Doyle (Wolves) 5; Darren Ambrose (Crystal Palace) 13
Referee: Chris Foy (Merseyside).
Sunday, January 24
Scunthorpe vs Man City
Scunthorpe will welcome back Josh Wright but captain Rob Jones remains a doubt with a hamstring injury which has kept him out of the past two league games, so Cliff Byrne and David Mirfin are expected to continue their central-defensive partnership.
City midfielder Stephen Ireland is likely to return to the team after injury while manager Roberto Mancini intends to use two-goal hero Carlos Tevez sparingly - if at all. Roque Santa Cruz and recent signing Patrick Vieira are both sidelined with calf injuries.
Top scorers (all competitions): Gary Hooper (Scunthorpe) 9; Carlos Tevez (Man City) 17
Referee: Kevin Friend (Leicestershire).
Stoke vs Arsenal
Stoke manager Tony Pulis appears poised to have a full-strength squad to choose from despite Abdoulaye Faye and Rory Delap hobbling off with knocks. With Pulis again failing to land England goalkeeper David James on loan from Portsmouth prior to today's noon deadline, Thomas Sorensen will continue between the posts.
Arsenal will be without midfielder Abou Diaby (calf) and will rest full-back Bacary Sagna (shoulder). Former captain Sol Campbell is in line to make his return after signing on a short-term deal, and fellow veteran defender Mikael Silvestre could also feature along with fit-again youngster Jack Wilshere following a hamstring problem. Lukasz Fabianski is expected to start in goal.
Top scorers (all competitions): Dave Kitson (Stoke) 6; Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal) 14
Referee: Martin Atkinson (W Yorkshire).
