West Ham vs Everton Player Ratings

espnstar.com brings you the player ratings from today's Premier League match-up between West Ham and Everton at Upton Park.

West Ham

Green 7 - A competent if not spectacular game from the England man. Could have done better with the block leading to the goal.

Upson 6 - Looked composed on the ball but prone to the odd lapse of concentration.

Da Costa 6 - Neat and tidy but distribution needs to improve.

Spector 5 - Had his hands full with a lively Saha in the first half.

Faubert 7 - Involved in a lot of West Ham's best moves. Almost set up a goal with a driving cross in the first half.

Parker 6 - Industrious without looking dangerous.

Behrami 7 - Worked his socks off as usual - but final ball lacked quality.

Collison 6 - The youngster was strangely subdued and was replaced at half-time.

Jimenez 6 - Failed to make the most of a couple of half-chances. Replaced in second half.

Hines 8 - West Ham's most dangerous player - his pace and confidence troubled Everton all night.

Franco 7 - Didn't really impose himself on the game, flittered in and out.

Subs:

Stanislas 8 - Gave the Hammers more drive and quality when he came on.

Diamanti 7 - A good introduction, he helped the Hammers edge back into the game once they went behind.

Everton

Howard 7 - Made a couple of useful saves when Everton were against the ropes in the first half.

Distin 7 - The tall defender won everything in the air.

Yobo 6 - A little exposed for pace and positioning.

Baines 7 - Defended well and got up in support whenever he could.

Hibbert 5 - Had a penalty appeal against him waved away, and made a complete hash of West Ham's consolation goal.

Rodwell 7 - Looked a quality player as he linked the Toffee's defence and attack.

Heitinga 6 - A steady and solid game as Everton had to soak up pressure.

Fellaini 7 - Added composure and a touch of class to the midfield.

Cahill 7 - As usual he popped up in dangerous positions and was at the heart of a committed Everton display.

Gosling 8 - Scored what turned out to be the winner and was a lively handful all day.

Saha 7 - Looked sharp until he had to go off with an injury. Took his goal well

Subs:

Yakubu 6 - Still looks way short of the player who used to terrorise defenders at Portsmouth

Neill 6 - Didn't have long to make an impression against his old club.
