Premier League Team of the Week 12

Premier League Team of the Week 12

Kelvin Leong hails the lads from Manchester United in his Premier League Team of the Week.

Robert Green - West Ham

Green had a few moments in the game where he had to go the full distance to stop Blackburn Rovers from scoring. Was solid with crosses and looked in command of his box throughout the game.

Philippe Senderos - Everton

Making his full debut for the Toffees, Senderos looked comfortable in defence and made some crucial tackles to keep his side in the game. Good win for Everton and great debut from the Swiss defender.

Ryan Shawcross - Stoke City

In the world of modern day defenders who can attack and defend, Shawcross comes across as a traditional English defender who boots the ball as far away from his goalmouth and that is a good thing. Shawcross' consistency is a huge bonus for Tony Pulis and a big move in the summer will not come as a surprise.

John Terry - Chelsea

Terry might not be the most well-liked person amongst his peers at the moment but for a man who has been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons over the past few days to come out and give his team a winner in the dying minutes is phenomenal. Just keep the scoring on the pitch please.

Emiliano Insua - Liverpool

The Argentine left-back has gone about his work quietly down the left flank and despite having to play with a different left winger every week, Insua has done well to provide some stability down that side of the pitch. His shot was deflected in by Kevin Davies to give the Reds a crucial second goal to seal the deal.

Park Ji-Sung - Manchester United

All the attention when United play well is almost always on Wayne Rooney and the flair players but the South Korean midfielder was the catalyst as to why Arsenal failed to find their rhythm at the Emirates stadium. Bacary Sagna played so poorly that he got substituted. Ran the length of pitch to put his team three goals up. The United fans don't call him 'Three-lung Park' for nothing!

Nani - Manchester United

For some reason, Nani seems to have come to life in the last two league matches and his display against Arsenal was nothing short of inspirational. His delightful flick to get past Gael Clichy and force Almunia into an own goal was superb. Set Wayne Rooney up for United's second to seal the deal for the visiting Devils.

Florent Malouda - Chelsea

From a player who failed to find his feet since moving to England, Malouda has been sensational for Carlo Ancelotti's team in recent weeks. Laid on a perfect assist for the red hot Anelka to score Chelsea's first goal. Influential performance by the Frenchman.

Gabriel Agbonlahor - Aston Villa

Two goals for the England striker would have boosted his chances of making it into Fabio Capello's squad for the 2010 World Cup. His brace helped the Villans take three points from Craven Cottage which has proven to be a tough ground to play at in recent months.

Emmanuel Adebayor - Manchester City

Roberto Mancini's men almost put the watching audience to sleep with their insipid display of football but one neat piece of skill from the Togo hitman gave City an undeserved lead. Adebayor executed the first touch and volley to perfection. Welcome back Ade-goal!

Wayne Rooney - Manchester United

He just can't stop scoring can he? Another well-taken goal after a great pass from the boot of Nani sent United into the break with a two-goal lead. Came out in the second-half and worked his socks off to plow the line on his own in attack. Superman indeed!
