Man Utd vs Fulham Player Ratings

Colin Chong watched Manchester United cruise past Fulham, beating them 2-0 at Old Trafford in the Barclays Premier League.

Manchester United

Tomasz Kuszczak - 6
The busier of the two keepers in the beginning, and did not look too confident with the ball. Definitely won't be missed after he leaves in the summer.

Nemanja Vidic - 6.5
Barely broke a sweat. Fulham's miserable attacks made Vidic look like a pro.

Chris Smalling - 7
Was lucky Zamora did not have his shooting boots on as the Fulham attack were simply agonizing to watch at times. Could have scored from a corner in the second half as well.

Patrice Evra - 7
Evra was one of the three who made it into this game's starting XI from midweek, and was always close by when Nani needed help down the left.

John O'Shea - 6.5
Played at right back today and put in another solid performance for United.

Darron Gibson - 7
Congested the midfield and created opportunities for his team mates. One of the better performances from the Irishman.

Anderson (77' off) - 7.5
Could have doubled United's lead halfway through the first half but he dragged his shot wide. Was out for a pretty long spell but jumped straight back into the lineup and dominated the midfield areas for United.

Paul Scholes - 5.5
Wasn't his usual self and should have made way for Carrick instead of playing the full 90 minutes.

Nani (87' off) - 8
No signs of fatigue whatsoever as he gave the Fulham defence all sorts of problems with him pace and trickery. Beat the offside trap to set up Valencia for their second goal of the game.

Antonio Valencia (73' off) - 8
Started his fourth game in a row after returning from his long lay-off. He wouldn't have an easier goal to score!

Dimitar Berbatov - 7
Was initially isolated upfront and despite the clinical finish to give United the lead, he should improve on his off the ball running and work rate.

Substitutions

Michael Owen (73' on) - 6
Did not have much to do but sit back in his own half and defend the two goal lead.

Fabio (77' on)

Michael Carrick (87' on)

Fulham

Mark Schwarzer - 5
Still struggling to find a repeat of last season's run of form. Should not have allowed Nani to skip past him so easily in the build up for United's second goal.

Brede Hangeland - 5
Seemed to be afraid of Berbatov for some strange reason and allowed him too much time on the ball.

Aaron Hughes - 5
Hughes got the final touch, which turned out to be a vital one that allowed Valencia the simplest of goals.

Carlos Salcido - 4
Eagerly tried to make something happen down the left, but not only did he fail miserably, he left gaps at the back for Valencia to exploit.

Chris Baird - 5
Great strike after Zamora found him at the far posts, but could not keep his effort on target. That was probably the climax of his game as he was tortured by Nani from start to finish.

Danny Murphy (82' off) - 5
Could not handle the crowded United midfield and was charged down by Anderson and co. everytime he had possession.

Dickson Etuhu (68' off) - 4
United fans know that Gibson isn't the fastest of players, but he made Etuhu look like a snail at times. Fulham did not have answers to United's five man midfield.

Gael Kakuta - 6
The Chelsea man looked sharper than the United players initially, but when the United engine started, he barely had a touch of the ball.

Clint Dempsey - 5.5
Fulham's most consistent goal scorer in the past could not find a way through in this game.

Moussa Dembele (56' off) - 4
Only realised he was playing when he was taken out for Gudjohnson. Credit to O'Shea for doing his job so well, Mark Hughes had to substitute him.

Bobby Zamora - 5
Had a glorious opportunity to test Kuszczak early in the game, but was subdued by his former team mate Smalling.

Substitutions

Eidur Gudjohnsen (56' on) - 6.5
The striker who's on loan from Stoke was by far Fulham's best player. It was only after his introduction that Fulham looked like they could get something from the game.

Zoltan Gera (68' on) -
Looked very grumpy the entire time he was on the pitch, and it was reflected in his football diving in to challenges

Jonathan Greening (82' on)
N/A
