Kakuta to debut against Rovers
After a dazzling first introduction over the weekend, Chelsea's Gael Kakuta has convinced Carlo Ancelotti to had him his first start.
Kakuta who impressed over the weekend with a fine substitute performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers may be handed his first full debut tonight.
The Blues will be facing Manchester City this weekend and hence, Carlo Ancelotti will be expected to rest most of his regular first team players.
Kakuta and other fringe players will be given the chance to make most of this opportunity. Assistant manager Ray Wilkins confirmed with The Mirror that the youngster will be in the matchday roster.
However, he was just as quick to add that it is important to take things step-by-step, "Gael will be in the squad. You saw a snippet of him a couple of weeks ago.
"He is a very talented young man but obviously we have to nurture that along - as we do a couple of other very talented guys.
"Gael has a great work ethic and is prepared to listen and work at his game. That's nice to see."
