Inter vs Genoa Preview
Genoa striker Diego Milito insists his side are not worried about facing an in-form Internazionale on Sunday.
He believes they can take all three points at the San Siro.
The Nerazzurri are enjoying a purple patch and thrashed Roma 4-0 in the Italian capital last time out.
With Inter not having dropped a point at the San Siro this season, and Genoa having lost all three of their games away from home, the result would seem to be a foregone conclusion.
However, Milito believes the Rossoblu can give Jose Mourinho's side a run for their money.
"Mourinho is a great coach, my friends (Esteban) Cambiasso, (Javier) Zanetti and (Nicolas) Burdisso have told me a lot of good things about him, they've said he's a great communicator," he said.
"We will go to San Siro with concentration and full of desire, not at all frightened, in order to try to win and give a good performance.
"The dressing room is very charged up, we are convinced we can play to win. Even if our opponents are Inter."
Genoa have only ever won four times at Inter, while the Nerazzurri have taken maximum points in 31 games and hammered the Rossoblu 4-1 last season.
However, they have a secret weapon in Milito, who has been a revelation during his second spell at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, scoring five goals in six games.
"Genoa is my home," he continued. "Everything's fantastic, the atmosphere, the club, the fans.
"The secret of my rapid and painless integration into the group? Above all it's coach Gian Piero Gasperini's system, it seems to be made for me, I like it a lot.
"Then there's also my team-mates...playing alongside people like (Giuseppe) Sculli, (Raffaele) Palladino, (Bosko) Jankovic and (Andrea) Gasbarroni makes my work easier."
Genoa will be without Francesco Modesto, Omar Milanetto, Ruben Olivera and Matteo Paro while Gasperini is still sweating on the fitness of Palladino and Gasbarroni.
Mourinho is aware Sunday's game will not be an easy task for the three-time reigning champions but he is confident Inter will take the three points and maintain their place at the top of the Serie A standings.
"We have to respect our opponents," he said. "They know how to play, have very good players and values of play that never change.
"The game therefore will be difficult. Maybe Inter will have more possession of the ball and a greater number of chances on goal but we also have to defend well because Genoa will know how to make the most of every chance.
"Our opponents worry us a bit, but we want to win. I like how Genoa play a lot, they have players of good quality and Gasperini is a good coach.
"We know it will be a difficult game, but we want the three points."
Inter will be without the injured Luis Figo, Patrick Vieira, Luis Jimenez, Nelson Rivas and Cambiasso but Julio Cesar is set to take his place in goal again after he was rested for the midweek Champions League victory against Anorthosis Famagusta.
