Eto’o demands simply too much
Samuel Eto’o’s agent, Jose Mesalles, is attempting to seal a deal with Inter that is reported to be too rich for the club’s liking.
Talks between Mesalles took place on Monday evening, as the two camps aim to come to a compromise about the player's move to the San Siro.
The striker looks to be part of a deal that would see Zlatan Ibrahimovic move to the Nou Camp while Eto'o goes to Inter, but it is now reported in the Corriere dello Sport that the Cameroonian and the Nerrazzurri are far apart in agreeing to personal terms.
Inter have allegedly offered a €9 million a season deal, with bonuses to be factored in based on his performance, but the hitman is demanding €12 million per annum for five seasons.
Talks are set to continue for the rest of the week, with Inter supremo Massimo Moratti taking charge of negotiations. The Inter president has gone on record to say that he's confident Eto'o will be an Inter player before the season starts.
Eto'o was in lethal from last season for Barcelona, scoring 34 goals in all competitions, including the game-winner against Manchester United in the Champions League final.
