Frontzeck not getting carried away
Borussia Monchengladbach coach Michael Frontzeck said it is too soon to start feeling safe after last night's 2-0 win over Mainz.
The Foals were fighting against relegation for the whole of last season and many had predicted a similar year of struggle for them this term but, after four games of the season, they are looking impressive with seven points.
That was enough for a share of the Bundesliga lead ahead of today's matches, but only if that is still the case in a month's time will Frontzeck be happy.
"We will only see where we really are after seven or eight games," he said. "However, we deserved our win."
Their opponents Mainz would have been able to go one point clear at the top of the table had they managed to build on their 2-1 win over Bayern Munich from last weekend.
But their coach Thomas Tuchel was still satisfied, saying: "This was a step forward in terms of our performances away from home.
"I am happy with our performance, just not with the result."
