Richards wants talks with Hughes
Micah Richards is ready for showdown talks with Manchester City boss Mark Hughes after being dropped this weekend.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the England international is said to be unhappy at being on the fringes at City and was surprised to have found that he was not part of the squad travelling to Liverpool.
If past reports are to believed Richards' current situation could be the result of clashes between manager and player. Hughes reportedly has been unimpressed with his right back's attitude at times.
The versatile full back may be looking to move on if he does not receive the assurance he seeks from his manager, and is not without suitors having had both Chelsea and Manchester United looking into his availability in the past.
However the paper reported that Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill may be the first in line to pounce if both City and player come to the consensus that his services are no longer needed.
