Vidic: Rio and I play well together
Nemanja Vidic has revealed that he’s happy to be back playing alongside Rio Ferdinand as Man United take on Fulham.
Vidic and Ferdinand played together for the first time since October against Wolves last Saturday as Manchester United edged out Wolverhampton 1-0, and they were Sir Alex Ferguson's choice to lead the defence against AC Milan as the Red Devils sealed their quarter-final berth in the Champions League.
The Serbian international revealed that both Ferdinand and he were ecstatic to be back in the fray after being sidelined by injury and they are keen to aid United in their quest for the Premier League and European glory.
"We've both been injured for a while and I think we need a few more games before we hit top form. But nothing has changed since we've been out - we always know how to play together," Vidic told ManUtd.com.
"We understand each other - he knows how I will react in certain situations and it's the same the other way round.
"It's frustrating when you're out and hard to watch the games because you want to be out there helping your team. But we're back now and hopefully the injuries are behind us."
