Only AC Milan fulfilled expectations, but even they struggled against some Flying Donkeys before getting all three points thanks to a Clarence Seedorf wonder goal.

Here are the Best XI performers from last weekend in the Serie A:

Jean-Francois Gillet - AS Bari

Gillet denied the Biancocelesti faithful of even a point as he stopped Aleksandar Kolarov's penalty and kept out Julio Cruz. The Belgian goalie put in a superb performance as the Galletti ran out 2-0 winners away from home.

Leonardo Bonucci - AS Bari

The Italy defender took the blows from Sergio Floccari and came out a winner as the Galletti ran out with a 2-0 victory. Bonucci proved to be solid with his man-marking and great in his aerial coverage of the Bari penalty area.

Mario Yepes - Chievo

The Colombian centre-back was calm and collected against AC Milan, and limited Marco Borriello in their game at the San Siro. Yepes and the Flying Donkeys did not deserve to lose, but were cruelly sent on their way home empty-handed after his tap-in was ruled offside and a Clarence Seedorf wonder goal.

Daniele Gastaldello - Sampdoria

Gastaldello almost gave the Blucerchiati all three points when he scored in the 86th minute, but Sampdoria succumbed to a last-gasp Andrea Raggi equaliser. Still, the centre-back played his heart out in defence and was a wall for 89 minutes.

Marco Rossi - Genoa

The midfield veteran was explosive down the wings and his constant activity gave the Islanders fits. In addition to his runs down the flank, Rossi scored the Grifoni's fourth goal to put the game out of the reach of Cagliari.

Simone Perotta - AS Roma

The best player on the field for the Giallorossi that had to struggle to draw against Livorno. Perotta scored Roma's first goal, then assisted in Luca Toni and David Pizarro's goals to ensure the Lupi went home with a point.

Stevan Jovetic - Fiorentina

Jovetic continues to make strides in his young career as he turned provider for two of the Viola's goals that were hammered home by Alberto Gilardino. The youngster also scored in stoppage time as he completely dismantled Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.

Clarence Seedorf - AC Milan

The veteran midfielder continues to defy Father Time as he puts together these wonderful performances, week-in and week-out. Coming off the bench, Seedorf gave the Rossoneri a jolt on attack and his wonder goal gave them all three points against a solid Chievo side.

Massimo Maccarone - Siena

Maccarone was at his best as he rallied Siena to a comeback against Juventus from three goals down. The veteran striker scored the Robur's first goal, his shot came off the post for Abdelkader Ghezzal to score the second, and he earned Siena their penalty for the third goal.

Cristiano Lucarelli - Livorno

Lucarelli scored thrice to help Livorno claim a point, earning the relegation-threatened club a precious point in their quest to avoid the drop. The former Italy international broke down Roma's offside trap to score the first, skipped past Julio Sergio to score his second and fired Livorno back into the game with a 71st minute penalty.

Jorge Martinez - Catania

Martinez was a sight to behold on Friday, giving Javier Zenatti and Lucio a massive headache whenever he got the ball. Gli Elefanti's striker scored in the 90th minute of a scintillating solo effort that sealed Catania's 3-1 win over inter.
