Ballack's agent may sue Boateng
Michael Ballack's agent is contemplating on taking legal actions against Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.
Michael Becker, who is in charge of Ballack, is clearly not satisfied with Boateng's apology to German captain and has claimed that the his client is set to suffer a €1 million loss of revenue from sponsors and bonuses after the influential midfielder is ruled out of the World Cup, thanks Boateng's reckless challenge in the FA Cup final.
Becker is also adamant that Ghanaian had no intention to play the ball during his challenge on Ballack.
"Every spectator has seen what Boateng did. That was clearly a foul with the intention to hurt Ballack. We are considering taking legal action," said Becker in an interview with Bild.
"We are thinking about taking the case to civil court, but criminal punishment is also an option. You can't just intentionally break the rules to hurt your opponent. It's not like a football field is a place where the law doesn't count, unlike what Boateng thinks."
