Samir Nasri hands Arsenal a boost

Arsenal winger Samir Nasri could be on course for a quick return from a knee injury.

The France midfielder needed surgery after sustaining the problem playing against Liverpool on the opening weekend of the season and was set to be out for around a month, but he could now be back in contention for the visit of Bolton after the international break.

The news comes after Nasri recently adnmitted that due to last season's injury woes and his absence at the World Cup, he could not wait to return to action.

Speaking to L'Equipe, Nasri said: "I was very frustrated last season, being injured early on.

"I needed time to get back to my best level. Then I wasn't called up for the World Cup.

"I missed football for two-and-a-half months.

"I had a lot of time to rest and ask myself questions. I am not hungry now, I am starving."
