Zenit will not face investigation
Bavarian State Prosecutors will not open an investigation into allegations last year's UEFA Cup semi-final being fixed.
A recent report in Spanish newspaper El Pais claimed a gang with links to the Russian mafia had given money to Bayern ahead of the match.Authorities in Germany looked into the allegations but have "not found enough evidence to justify a thorough investigation," according to Bavarian State Prosecutors' chief lawyer Christian Schmidt-Sommerfeld.
Zenit St Petersburg beat Bayern 5-1 on aggregate in the semi-final encounter earlier this year before going on to defeat Rangers 2-0 in the final.
