Hamburg bring in five
Bundesliga high-flyers Hamburg have snapped up five new players in an attempt to strengthen their push for the title.
Martin Jol's side, who are two points off the top of the table in third place, have signed Mickael Tavares from Slavia Prague on a three-and-a-half-year contract as well as Khalid Sinouh, Michael Gravgaard, Tomas Rincon and Albert Streit on loan.
Goalkeeper Sinouh, from Kasimpasa, will provide cover for first-choice stopper Frank Rost and centre-back Gravgaard will bolster the back line having signed temporarily from French side Nantes.
Venezuelan midfielder Rincon arrives on loan until the end of the season from Deportivo Tachira and Streit, who had fallen out of favour and requested a move from Bundesliga rivals Schalke, will stay at Hamburg until the summer.
