Figueroa targets Boca deal
Luciano Figueroa is hoping to make his loan move from Genoa to Boca Juniors permanent at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old returned to his native Argentina in October and is not keen on a return to Italy when his loan deal expires.
"I want to do my job well here to convince Boca to sign me permanently," he told Ole newspaper.
"This is what I want. If not, I would have to return to Italy and I don't want to.
"I cannot believe the Boca supporters cheer my name. I am totally grateful and I hope I can keep scoring."
The former Birmingham and Villarreal striker joined Genoa in the summer of 2006 but was hampered by a serious knee injury.
Last season he scored three goals in 21 Serie A appearances for Genoa. Since joining Boca he has scored five times in nine games to help the club claim the Apertura title.
