FA made to wait for Ukraine decision
The Football Association do not expect to hear where England's World Cup qualifier in the Ukraine will be played until July.
Normally, Ukraine play their home games in the capital city Kiev.
However, this option has been ruled out due to rebuilding work taking place ahead of Euro 2012, which Ukraine are co-hosting with Poland.
It has been suggested Dnepropetrovsk, the country's third largest city, could be used and already some England fans have begun assessing travel options for the Group Six fixture.
But the FA have cautioned supporters against booking flights as they have still not been informed where the match is going to take place.
And, as their Ukrainian counterparts do not have to notify England of the venue until 90 days before the fixture, patience may be the order of the day.
"The venue for this match has not yet been confirmed by the Ukraine FA," said an FA spokesman.
"We understand that the stadium normally used for international matches in Kiev is currently undergoing reconstruction, leaving a number of possible venues in the Ukraine where the match could be staged, including Dnepropetrovsk and Donetsk.
"However, we may not receive confirmation until July at the earliest. The host federation are obliged to confirm the venue 90 days before the fixture.
"Clearly we are aware that English fans wishing to attend this match are keen to confirm their travel arrangements.
"It is for this reason that we are in constant touch with the Ukrainian FA and will forward any concrete information as soon as we receive details."
It is the second time in this qualifying campaign that England supporters have been forced to delay travel arrangements.
Despite claims Kazakhstan would host Fabio Capello's men in Astana on June 6, the game has actually been arranged for Almaty as their new stadium has not been completed in time to pass stringent safety criteria.
That will not prevent upwards of 1,500 supporters making the 11-hour flight to the border with China as Fabio Capello's men look to maintain their 100% record.
