Ligue 1 Weekend Review

Alou Diarra fired Bordeaux to a priceless win over title rivals Lyon to keep the pressure on leaders Olympic Marseille.

The 27-year-old netted the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute as Bordeaux climbed above the seven-time defending champions and to within two points of leaders Marseille.

OM stretched their lead at the top of the table after Brandao's late winner earned them a 2-1 victory at mid-table Lorient.

The hosts went ahead through Kevin Gameiro in the eighth minute but Renato Civelli equalised on the hour mark and Brandao smashed home the winner 10 minutes from time.

A scuffle between Marseille captain Lorik Cana and Lorient's Arnaud Le Lan led to them both being dismissed with two minutes left but it came too late to affect the outcome of a lively game.

Paris St Germain kept up the pressure on the top three after they claimed an emphatic 3-0 victory over bottom club Le Havre.

The hosts dominated throughout with Ludovic Giuly giving them a first-half lead before strikes from Jerome Rothen and Guillaume Hoarau saw them claim their 12th home win and move into fourth place in the process.
