Van Gaal to tell AZ of plans

Louis van Gaal will tell AZ Alkmaar before next Tuesday if he will still be with the club next season.

Van Gaal has been linked with Bundesliga side Bayern Munich and reports Thursday claim he already has a personal agreement with the German giants.

The club, who have been crowned champions of the Dutch Erevidisie, train together for the final time on Monday before the month-long summer break and Van Gaal wants to inform the club of his intentions before the holiday.

AZ, who would like to keep Van Gaal until his contract runs out in the summer of 2010, are officially not aware of the interest of Bayern Munich. "And as long as that's the case, it's not an issue for us," sais director Toon Gerbrands in Voetbal International.

"We follow all media reports about it. You can compare it to the rumours about players transfers, for instance that clubs are after Mounir El Hamdaoui.

"In those cases we also have the opinion that if we don't get concrete offers, we are not busy with it."
