Maradona calls up Fuertes
Argentina coach Diego Maradona has called up Esteban Fuertes to replace Milton Caraglio for the friendly against Panama next week.
The 36-year-old Colon striker was given the late call to join the rest of the squad on Monday afternoon after it was revealed Rosario Central forward Caraglio tore cruciate ligaments in his right knee during Sunday's clash with Newell's Old Boys.
The former River Plate and Derby County forward scored a brace on Saturday to help Colon beat San Martin 2-0 in the domestic Clausura and needs one more to reach the 100-goal mark in a Colon shirt.
The Panama friendly will be played at the Estadio Brigadier General Estanislao Lopez in Santa Fe.
