Flamengo coach Cuca is still unsure whether Adriano will make his debut next weekend.

The 27-year-old earlier this month returned to his former club only a couple of weeks after having his Inter Milan contract terminated after announcing he wanted to take a break from football.

Despite the striker saying last week that he would be fit to play by the end of this month, Cuca believes the player's form in training will be crucial in deciding whether he plays against Atletico Paranaense on Sunday.

"I am responsible," said Cuca. "Adriano is a case we have to analyse day by day. I hope he can make his debut.

"Right now, I am not able to say anything. It is up to the player. Maybe on Wednesday or Thursday he says he is not ready. It is also up to the medical and physical departments."

On Monday, Flamengo claimed their first Campeonato Brasileiro win after three rounds by beating Santo Andre 2-1.
