Hiddink names Russia squad
Russia coach Guus Hiddink has rung the changes after naming a 20-man squad for the World Cup qualifier against Finland.
Dinamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kerzhakov has been recalled and figures in the squad for the first time in more than a year.
The former Zenit St Petersburg and Sevilla player returned to Russia from Spain at the beginning of the 2008 season but failed to win a place in Hiddink's Euro 2008 squad.
The 26-year old has been in good form this season, scoring five goals in 10 games in all competitions for Dinamo.
Midfielder Evgeny Aldonin, who has previously captained his country, also gets a recall, and there is a first call up for his CSKA Moscow team-mate Pavel Mamaev.
Aldonin and Mamaev are two of seven representatives of the army club in Hiddink's squad, although young star Alan Dzagoev, the revelation of the 2008 Russian season, has been overlooked.
Also missing out are the injured Lokomotiv Moscow trio of Dmitri Sychev, Diniar Bilyaletdinov and Dmitri Torbinsky, while the frontline is expected to be spearheaded by the London-based duo of Roman Pavlyuchenko and Andrei Arshavin, who both retain their places.
Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA Moscow), Vladimir Galubov (Dinamo Moscow), Vyacheslav Malafeev (Zenit St Petersburg).
Defenders: Aleksei Berezutsky, Vasili Berezutsky, Sergei Ignashevich, Yuri Zhirkov (all CSKA Moscow), Denis Kolodin (Dinamo Moscow), Renat Yanbaev (Lokomotiv Moscow).
Midfielders: Evgeny Aldonin, Pavel Mamaev (both CSKA Moscow), Vladimir Bystrov (Spartak Moscow), Igor Denisov, Konstantin Zyryanov, Igor Semshov (all Zenit St Petersburg), Sergei Semak (Rubin Kazan).
Strikers: Andrei Arshavin (Arsenal), Aleksandr Kerzhakov (Dinamo Moscow), Roman Pavlyuchenko (Tottenham), Pavel Pogrebniak (Zenit St Petersburg).
