Senna a doubt for Spain national side
Villarreal captain Marcos Senna is doubtful whether he will be fit in time to take part in Spain's Confederations Cup campaign.
Senna, a key member of the Spain side that won Euro 2008, has not played since mid-April due to a hamstring strain and with the start of the Confederations Cup just a fortnight away, the 32-year-old admits time is not on his side.
"I've gone a month without training with my team-mates and there are only 15 days remaining until the start of the competition in South Africa. I will speak with (Spain coach Vicente) Del Bosque, but I don't think I'll be ready in time," the Brazilian-born midfielder told Cadena Ser.
Del Bosque will name his squad for the Confederations Cup tomorrow, with question marks also surrounding the fitness of Barcelona duo Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique.
