Veron concerned about altitude
Juan Sebastian Veron is concerned about Argentina playing at altitude again ahead of Wednesday's clash with Ecuador.
Argentina's last game at altitude ended in a 6-1 thrashing by Bolivia and Veron is understandably wary about the World Cup qualifier in Quito.
"Playing Ecuador will be difficult because of playing at high altitude and also because they, like Colombia, are playing their last cards to qualify," said Veron, who was an unused substitute against Bolivia in April.
"Playing in Quito is not the same as in La Paz, but it is difficult anyway. We must pay attention and be intelligent, have the ball.
"We already had an experience (in Bolivia) and we must take profit from that in order not to make the same mistakes."
"Sacrifice is important, so is solidarity to play these kind of matches that define important things. We have already won at home. Now we want more.
"Altitude has not treated me so well, but we are all here to help. If they need me, I will be there."
